BACKYARD
[27 min. documentary\

“Backyard” is a story of seeing broadly, of looking toward the future, and of considering the greater good. The animated birds woven throughout the film demonstrate this, but the people, in their myriad battles with the burgeoning hydrofracking industry, illustrate the consequences of ignoring these lessons.

A brief snippet of select shots and an interview from the Pennsylvania portion of the film.  Also, where the concept for the film's name came from...(Film trailer music by Kevin MacLeod of Imcomptech.)

Update #15 · May 20, 2013

Hello all!
Some exciting updates to share... A short cut of Backyard is going to be part of an anti-fracking initiative at the Telluride Mountainfilm Festival this coming weekend--along with films by Jon Bowermaster, Alexandria Bombach and Pete McBride--a group of fellow filmmakers that I'm extremely humbled to be listed along side of.  Not to mention getting to be at the premiere of Gasland 2 at the festival with Mr. Josh Fox and Ms. Sandra Steingraber as well... :) And special thanks to Mountainfilm for highlighting this critical issue!

After Telluride, I'll be doing several public screenings around Colorado--which I'm still working out the details of. To stay up to speed, "Like" Backyard on Facebook, where I'll be posting schedule updates and such.

Thanks for the continued support!
